Travel Documents for Kenya & Uganda

To travel on a combined Kenya and Uganda safari, please ensure you have:

 

  • Valid Passport – Valid for at least 6 months and with at least one blank visa page.
  • Kenya Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) – Most travellers who are not exempt should obtain an approved Kenya eTA before travel. Apply through the official Kenya eTA system:
    Kenya eTA: https://etakenya.go.ke/
  • Uganda Tourist Visa – Travellers whose nationality requires a visa should apply online and obtain approval before travelling to Uganda.
    Uganda Visa: https://visas.immigration.go.ug/
  • East African Tourist Visa – if applicable – Travellers combining Kenya and Uganda may consider the East African Tourist Visa, particularly if also visiting Rwanda. It allows multiple travel between Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda for up to 90 days. Apply through the country where you will first enter the East African Tourist Visa region.
  • Return or Onward Flight Ticket – Keep confirmation of your return or onward travel available.
  • Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate – Carry your original Yellow Fever Certificate (Yellow Card), particularly for entry into Uganda and when travelling between East African countries.
  • Safari Itinerary & Accommodation Details – Keep a copy of your confirmed safari itinerary and accommodation information available, as these may be requested during visa applications or on arrival.

 

For children: Each child should have the appropriate passport and travel authorisation. Additional documentation may be required when travelling without one or both parents.

To book this safari, click “Get a Free Quote” and complete the request form. Please make sure your details are correct, including your full name, email address, phone number, travel dates, and number of travelers, so our safari team can prepare the right proposal for you.

Deposits

A 30% deposit is required to confirm your safari. Gorilla trekking permits are invoiced and payable in full at confirmation, in addition to the 30% safari deposit. If your trip includes domestic or regional flights, the full airfare may also be required at the time of booking and is charged separately from the safari deposit.

 

Final Payment

The remaining safari balance is due 45 days before your departure date. For bookings made within 45 days of departure, full payment is required to confirm the booking, together with any applicable gorilla permit and flight costs.

Travel Insurance

All travelers are required to have adequate comprehensive travel and medical insurance for the entire trip, including coverage for medical expenses and repatriation. We also strongly recommend coverage for trip cancellation or interruption, emergency evacuation, and loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings. Travel insurance should be arranged independently by the traveler.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be made in writing and are effective once received by Bush 2 City Adventure.

 

  • 120–60 days before departure: 30% cancellation fee
  • 59–45 days before departure: 80% cancellation fee
  • 44 days or less before departure: 100% cancellation fee

 

Gorilla trekking permits and issued domestic or regional flight tickets are non-refundable once booked and confirmed. These costs are therefore excluded from any refund that may otherwise be due under the cancellation schedule above.

 

No refunds are provided for no-shows or unused services after the safari has commenced.

 

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to protect against eligible cancellation costs and other unforeseen circumstances.

About Booking This Tour

Travel Documents for Kenya & Uganda

To travel on a combined Kenya and Uganda safari, please ensure you have:

 

  • Valid Passport – Valid for at least 6 months and with at least one blank visa page.
  • Kenya Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) – Most travellers who are not exempt should obtain an approved Kenya eTA before travel. Apply through the official Kenya eTA system:
    Kenya eTA: https://etakenya.go.ke/
  • Uganda Tourist Visa – Travellers whose nationality requires a visa should apply online and obtain approval before travelling to Uganda.
    Uganda Visa: https://visas.immigration.go.ug/
  • East African Tourist Visa – if applicable – Travellers combining Kenya and Uganda may consider the East African Tourist Visa, particularly if also visiting Rwanda. It allows multiple travel between Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda for up to 90 days. Apply through the country where you will first enter the East African Tourist Visa region.
  • Return or Onward Flight Ticket – Keep confirmation of your return or onward travel available.
  • Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate – Carry your original Yellow Fever Certificate (Yellow Card), particularly for entry into Uganda and when travelling between East African countries.
  • Safari Itinerary & Accommodation Details – Keep a copy of your confirmed safari itinerary and accommodation information available, as these may be requested during visa applications or on arrival.

 

For children: Each child should have the appropriate passport and travel authorisation. Additional documentation may be required when travelling without one or both parents.

Deposits

A 30% deposit is required to confirm your safari. Gorilla trekking permits are invoiced and payable in full at confirmation, in addition to the 30% safari deposit. If your trip includes domestic or regional flights, the full airfare may also be required at the time of booking and is charged separately from the safari deposit.

 

Final Payment

The remaining safari balance is due 45 days before your departure date. For bookings made within 45 days of departure, full payment is required to confirm the booking, together with any applicable gorilla permit and flight costs.

Travel Insurance

All travelers are required to have adequate comprehensive travel and medical insurance for the entire trip, including coverage for medical expenses and repatriation. We also strongly recommend coverage for trip cancellation or interruption, emergency evacuation, and loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings. Travel insurance should be arranged independently by the traveler.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be made in writing and are effective once received by Bush 2 City Adventure.

 

  • 120–60 days before departure: 30% cancellation fee
  • 59–45 days before departure: 80% cancellation fee
  • 44 days or less before departure: 100% cancellation fee

 

Gorilla trekking permits and issued domestic or regional flight tickets are non-refundable once booked and confirmed. These costs are therefore excluded from any refund that may otherwise be due under the cancellation schedule above.

 

No refunds are provided for no-shows or unused services after the safari has commenced.

 

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to protect against eligible cancellation costs and other unforeseen circumstances.
