Hemingways’ 45 rooms, with their lofty ceilings, are bright, open, and fresh, featuring soothing muted colors and canopied beds. Accents of brass and mahogany pay homage to both the traditional and modern safari experiences. The large Italian-marble bathrooms, personalized bar, full e-connectivity, innovative pop-up large television, in-room dining, and the attentive service of your butler all exemplify Hemingways’ commitment to meeting and exceeding the highest expectations.
Hemingways, just 45 minutes from Nairobi’s airport, is perfectly situated for exploring the city. Your Bush 2 City Adventure Safari Director will present a personalized program upon our arrival and be there for our departure. A visit to Karen Blixen’s nearby home, now a part of Kenya’s National Museums, offers an inspiring prelude to the safari. The orphaned elephants at the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, lovingly cared for, provide an unforgettable experience.
Have you ever leaned out of a second-floor window to pet a giraffe on the head? Probably not. At Giraffe Manor, these gentle giants feel right at home as they freely roam the property. They often poke their heads through open windows, bend their necks to greet you on the terrace, and even join you for breakfast, happily accepting snacks from your hand. Spending time with these extraordinary creatures at Giraffe Manor offers a truly unique and unforgettable experience for guests of all ages.
Giraffe Manor lives up to its name: a charming, Victorian-style mansion with a resident herd of endangered Rothschild giraffes strolling around the grounds, which feature manicured lawns and 140 acres of indigenous forest. It’s quite a sight to see these towering residents peek into the dining room windows at breakfast. Luckily, they prefer acacia leaves over pancakes!

Nestled high above the wildlife-rich plains on three of the Maasai Mara’s renowned rocky outcrops, called kopjes, Angama Mara offers stunning vistas and meticulously curated safari adventures. These kopjes, one of which was a filming location for scenes in “Out of Africa,” create a profound sense of return, evoking the feeling of coming home.
Angama Mara, accessible via its own airstrip, comprises two distinct luxury camps, each with only 15 tents that provide commanding views of the plains below. The Pavilion, centrally located between the camps, features an infinity pool, a gift shop, Wi-Fi, a library, a well-appointed fitness room, and a spacious deck. From this vantage point, guests can savor the Mara’s dramatic sunrises, sunsets, and ever-changing landscapes—all just a short 10-minute walk from any tent in either camp.
