Tanzania Online Visa Application Steps

This page is intended to assist clients who have booked a safari with Bush 2 City Adventure in preparing the required information for a successful online application for their valid Tanzania visa.

The official website for applications is www.immigration.go.tz, which also provides contact numbers if applicants require further information or have any queries.

Note: The Tanzanian immigration does not recognize nor accept any other website or agent that claim to be Tanzania Visa application centre.

Step 1 - Create Application ID

Create Application ID

To begin, go to www.immigration.go.tz From the main menu, find ‘e-services’ and choose ‘Online Visa Application.’ Within the ‘New Application’ section, click on ‘Apply for a New Visa.

Before applying for a visa, they system want you to crate your application ID which you will use for future reference include monitor the status of your application and print your e-visa when granted.

 

Basic Information you need to fill to generate application ID

 

1. Email Adress

2. Passport Number

3. Passport Issued Country

4. You need to select Security Question (we recommend “in which city/town/village you were born) as your security question.

5. Your answer

 

 

Record your application in a safe and secured place. In case of technical system with a system of wish to complete your application some other time you can save and your work and later, start where you left off.

 

Remember you use your Application ID, Email address and the Answer to the security Question provided to retrieve your application status once part of your application has been successful completed and submitted or check status of your application offer submitted or print your visa document when is approved.

 

Step 2 - Submit Personal Information

Information on this page must match the information as it is written in your passport.

To begin your visa application, ensure you have all your personal information ready at this stage as indicated below.

5. Marital Status * (Single, Married, Divorced or widowed)
6. Date and Place of Birth (Birth Date *, Country * & City *)
7. Nationality (Nationality at Birth *, Present Nationality * & Residence Status *)

 

 

Step 3 - Contact, Adress & Employment Information

Use this sample as a guide to correctly fill in your own details, and do not copy from it.

At this stage, ensure you have your contact information, addresses, and employment details prepared.

 

Contact Information needed:

1. Telephone No (optional)
2. Mobile No * – (Select County code first before enter number)
3. Email * (for consistence use same email address you have use to create your Application ID)

 

Physical Address you need:

1. Present Physical Address *
2. Present City *
3. Present Country *
4. Permanent Physical Address *
5. Permanent City *
6. Permanent Country *

Note: Your present address can also serve as your permanent address.

 

Employment You need:

1. Employment Status * (employed or self-employed, retired, student, minor, infant or unemployed)
2. Employer (for employed you need to add your employer)
3. Occupation * (If you are employed or self-employed, you must specify the economic sector your work falls under)

Step 4 - Passport Information

Ensure your passport information matches exactly what is in your passport.

 

1. Passport Type *

5. Issuance Date *
6. Expiry Date *

 

Step 5 - Travel Information

Information on this page must match the information as it is written in your passport.

At this stage, you’ll need to have all your travel details and related information thoroughly researched and prepared in advance.

 

1. Country from where you are applying *

2. Nearby embassy to handle your application * (You must find the nearest Tanzanian embassy or consulate in your region)

3. Type of Visa Requested * (U.S. citizens booking a safari with us should apply for a Multiple Entry Visa (Bilateral Agreement, USA). Other nationalities require an Ordinary Visa)

 

4. Purpose of your visit * (leisure & Holiday)
5. Is this your first time to visit Tanzania? *
6. Last visit date (for the previous visit)
7. Visa Number (Previous Tanzanian Visa Number (if applicable))

8. Destination * – Choose your arrival is either mainland or Zanzibar
9. Onward Country (leave it open)
10. Port Type * (airport, road or versal)

 

For those on a Kenya-Tanzania safari, your designated road entry or re-entry port will vary by route. If you enter Tanzania from Masai Mara to Serengeti, select ‘Road’ as the Port Type and ‘Sirari’ as the Port of Entry. Conversely, if you travel from Nairobi to Arusha by road, or connect your safari from Amboseli to Arusha or directly to a Tanzanian park, your Port Type will be ‘Road’ and Port of Entry will be Namanga. These entry and exit points apply similarly in reverse if you begin your Kenya-Tanzania safari from Tanzania.

Accommodation section – You must fill in the details of your first hotel in Tanzania.

21. Physical Address * You may obtain the hotel’s address from your consultant or by checking the website of your first hotel in Tanzania.

 

Step 6 - Upload Document

Passport photo, passport bio data & flight itinerary

You are required to upload documentary proof for all information provided in the previous five stages. This includes a passport-size photo of yourself, the biographic data page of your passport, and a copy of your return flight ticket.

(Supported types are ‘jpeg/png’, size = 300KB max)

(Supported types are ‘jpeg/png’, size = 300KB max)

 

3. Supporting Document(s)
Return Ticket (Supported type is ‘pdf’, size = 1MB max)

Passport size photograph usually has dimensions of 4.5mm X 3.5mm.Your passport-size photo and biographic data page of the passport needs to be saved in Jpg/png formats separately with maximum size of 300kb each, see below picture for better understanding.

Step 7 - Declaration Statiment

Review all information, you can edit and information, once submitted you cannot retrieve or edit.

Once you have confirmed that all information is accurate, then tick the box to agree with the terms and conditions.

Step 8 - Makin Payment for your Visa

Payment for your visa can be made via credit card (Visa or Mastercard).

Currently, a single-entry ordinary (tourist) visa costs USD 50, while a multiple-entry visa costs USD 100. Please note that U.S. citizens are required to apply for the multiple-entry visa at USD 100, even for a single trip. Details for any other visa types and their prices are available on the website.

 

Step 9 - Application Completed

Once payment is success full you application will now be Completed which is stage 9.

 

You can check your visa’s progress or status by visiting www.visa.immigration.go.tz  and clicking ‘CHECK VISA STATUS’ under ‘Visa status.’ To do so, you’ll need your recorded Application ID, email address, and the answer to your security question once your application has been successfully completed and submitted.
