1. Creating Your Application ID
Before starting the form, the system requires you to generate a unique Application ID. This ID is essential for tracking your status, resuming a saved application, and printing your E-visa once granted.

To generate your ID, you will need to provide:

• Security Question & Answer (We recommend: “In which city/town/village were you born?”)

2. Secure Your Details
Please record your Application ID, Email, and Security Answer in a safe place. If you encounter any technical issues or wish to complete the form at a later time, these credentials will allow you to save your progress and resume exactly where you left off.

3. Tracking & Completion
Once your application is submitted, you will use these same details to:

• Monitor the real-time status of your approval.

• Retrieve and print your official E-visa document once it is issued.

3. Supporting Documentation (Return Flight Ticket)

• Format: PDF only.

• File Size: Maximum 1 MB.

• Requirement: This must clearly show your confirmed departure date from Tanzania.

Your passport-style photograph should follow the standard dimensions of 4.5cm x 3.5cm. Please ensure both your photo and your passport’s biographic data page are saved as individual JPEG or PNG files. To meet system requirements, each file must not exceed 300KB. Please refer to the visual guide below for the correct framing and quality.

Once you have conducted a final review of your details for accuracy, please acknowledge the Terms and Conditions by ticking the verification box to proceed to the submission stage.

The current fee for a single-entry Ordinary (Tourist) Visa is USD 50, while a Multiple-Entry Visa is USD 100. Please be advised that U.S. Citizens are required by Tanzanian immigration to obtain the Multiple-Entry Visa (USD 100), regardless of the length of stay or number of entries. For details on other visa categories, please refer to the official fee schedule on the application portal.

Upon successful payment, your application will officially move to Stage 9 (Completed). You can monitor the progress of your visa by visiting the official portal at www.visa.immigration.go.tz and selecting ‘Check Visa Status.’ To access your status, please ensure you have your Application ID, registered email address, and security answer ready.
