From June to September, the days are comfortably warm, averaging 26°C (79°F), while the nights and early mornings cool down to around 14°C (57°F). If you’re heading out early, be sure to pack some warm layers to stay cozy during these brisk hours.

Alternatively, you can arrive at Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) in Dar es Salaam and take a connecting flight to either Arusha Airport (ARK) or Kilimanjaro International Airport to begin your safari journey.

Malaria & Vaccinations

When planning your trip to Lake Manyara, it’s important to take precautions against malaria. Use mosquito repellent with DEET for the best protection, and cover exposed skin, especially during the evening. Taking antimalarial medication is highly recommended as an extra safeguard.
