Ndali has eight individual cottages built from local stone and thatch, and they are all powered by clean solar energy. Every cottage faces the stunning landscape, offering beautiful wide views of the Rwenzori Mountains and Queen Elizabeth National Park.
The rooms are very spacious—large enough to comfortably fit a family—and each one has its own private bathroom. If you are staying in the honeymoon cottage, you will enjoy an extra-large bathtub with a shower attached.
All of the cottages also feature their own private verandas. It is the perfect spot to sit back at the end of the day and watch the sun go down right behind the snow-capped peaks of the mountains.
The main sitting room, reception, and dining room are made up of three thatched cottages. They are connected by two open pathways that lead straight down to the crater lake—and you might even see local owls, frogs, or fruit bats using them as a natural highway at night!
You can relax in the spacious, high-ceilinged sitting room filled with comfortable wicker chairs, or sit out on the terrace to take in the beautiful views of the lake. On sunny days, you can lounge by the swimming pool and enjoy the endless scenery.
Ndali Lodge serves as a spectacular, understated gateway to the region’s most iconic natural wonders, located just 45 minutes from Kibale Forest National Park. As Africa’s premier primate capital, the forest offers guests the unparalleled opportunity to track the continent’s largest concentration of chimpanzees amidst a breathtaking canopy of rare birds and butterflies.
Just minutes away, the community-led Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary invites further discovery, guiding travelers through a pristine habitat teeming with diverse monkey species and legendary birdlife—from the striking Great Blue Turaco to rarely seen papyrus specialists.

Bathrooms are luxurious, with claw-foot bathtubs, marble finishes, and glass-walled showers, creating a refined yet natural retreat.
At the heart of the lodge, warm living spaces with a double-sided fireplace offer comfort and relaxation, while raised lounges provide quiet spots to enjoy the breathtaking scenery.
Dining is a highlight, with freshly prepared meals using locally sourced ingredients served in the main lodge overlooking the lake. Guests can unwind at the infinity-style swimming pool with panoramic views or descend to the crystal-clear waters of Lake Kyaninga surrounded by ancient forest.
