Entebbe (Uganda)
After a 6 a.m. breakfast, meet your safari guide for a briefing and head to Kibale Forest National Park. Enjoy a scenic drive through lush countryside. Upon arrival, explore a biodiverse forest home to 12 primate species, including Red-Tailed Monkeys, Olive Baboons, and Black and White Colobus. The forest also hosts vibrant birdlife, like the Great Blue Turaco, and, with luck, Forest Elephants.
Arrive at your lodge for lunch, or stop for a meal en route. In the afternoon, join a briefing at the park headquarters before chimpanzee tracking, with possible sightings of Vervet and Blue Hoest Monkeys. Known as the 'primate capital,' Kibale offers a 2-4 hour trek with one hour to observe chimpanzees, guided by an expert. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Kibale National Park (Chimps)
After breakfast, meet your guide, check out of the lodge, and hop into your safari jeep for a scenic drive to Bwindi, enjoying panoramic views and a lunch stop en route. Continue to Bwindi, where you’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Gorillas)
Early in the morning, with a packed lunch, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on your gorilla trekking adventure. Gorilla trekking is often described as a once-in-a-lifetime experience, offering the unforgettable thrill of encountering gorillas face-to-face in the jungle. Upon finding the gorillas, you’ll have one hour to observe and capture these moments, watching juveniles swing from branch to branch. Afterward, return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a Batwa cultural experience to gain insights into the traditional and social life of the Batwa people. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
