Planned, Morning: A knowledgeable guide will take guests on an unforgettable experience through the Victoria Falls rain forest, a journey that not only affords a view of one of the Seven Natural
Wonders of the World provides a great deal of interesting facts about the geology, wildlife and history of Africa’s most famous landmark. Visitors will listen to magical tales of local legend while they enjoy the constant spray from “The Smoke that Thunders”. The Shearwater guide will also help ensure the best photographic opportunities for this breathtaking World Heritage Site. At the end of the tour, guests can enjoy something to eat at Shearwater’s Rainforest Cafe, which provides an ideal place to stop and refuel before their next adventure.
Planned, Afternoon: The spectacular helicopter flight over Victoria Falls is known as the ‘Flight of Angels’. The best way to appreciate the true splendor of Victoria Falls is to view them from the air. Our helicopters have specially designed ‘bubble-shaped’ windows perfect for panoramic viewing and great photographic opportunities from all seats.
The 25-minute flights depart regularly throughout the day and offer spectacular photographic opportunities.
Guests are collected from their hotels 30 minutes before their flight departure time and are given a safety talk on arrival at the Helipad, near the Elephant Hills Inter-Continental Hotel.
After take-off on the 28-minute 'Zambezi Spectacular', the helicopter flies over Victoria Falls, continuing downstream over the Batoka Gorges. Heading back from the Batoka Gorges the flight takes you back over the Falls and the long island on the upper Zambezi towards the National Park, home to a wide variety of wildlife species, and then back to the Helipad.

Located in western Zimbabwe, Hwange National Park (formerly Wankie Game Reserve) is the largest natural reserve in the country and is famous for its rich diversity of wildlife. The northern and western areas of the park are different - the northern area is encompassed by the Zambezi watershed, while the western part consists of grasslands, marshes, and scattered woodlands. The natural seeps such as Nehimba and Shakwanki, where animals dig for water, are particularly notable. The park is home to one of the biggest elephant populations in the world, as well as around 100 mammal species, and several protected animals including the endangered wild dog, critically endangered black rhino, and rare roan and sable. Around 500 bird species also inhabit the area. Visitors can look forward to bush hikes, game drives, and horse-riding safaris.
