Roving Bushtops is an intimate luxury camp with just eight tented suites, moving seasonally between northern and southern Serengeti locations to offer access to different stages of the Great Migration. Depending on when you visit, your stay may centre on the Mara River region or the southern plains during calving season.
Private game drives with a ranger and Kuria spotter allow you to explore at your own pace, with outings shaped around your interests and wildlife movements. Back at camp, your spacious tent, private deck and hot tub offer a comfortable retreat, complemented by personal butler service, private dining and aromatherapy massages, subject to availability.

Your spacious tent opens on three sides during the day, bringing the Serengeti views into your living space. Inside, a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom provide a comfortable retreat under canvas. A large wooden deck extends your private space outdoors, with seating and a sunken hot tub overlooking the landscape. Double or twin arrangements can be requested, while adjacent tents offer a flexible option for families.
At Roving Bushtops, you’ll have a private deck with a hot tub, an en-suite bathroom and personal butler service available around the clock. Meals can be enjoyed in the central dining area or privately in your tent. Electricity, Wi-Fi and laundry service add everyday convenience, while aromatherapy massages, subject to availability, offer a relaxing way to unwind after your game drives.
During your stay at Roving Bushtops, you’ll explore the Serengeti in a private safari vehicle with your ranger and Kuria spotter. You can choose morning and afternoon game drives, returning to camp between outings, or spend a full day exploring with a picnic lunch. Your team will plan each drive around your interests, recent sightings and wildlife movements. Depending on the season and camp location, you may follow migration herds near the Mara River or explore the southern plains during calving season.
For a closer look at your surroundings, join an escorted nature walk within the camp grounds. Your guides will point out tracks, birds, insects and plants that are easily overlooked from a vehicle. Longer walking safaris can also be arranged at the northern location for an additional charge.
If you’d like to add something special, we can arrange a sunrise hot-air balloon safari, a private bush breakfast or a sundowner in a scenic setting. At the northern base, you can also request a lantern-lit bush dinner beneath the stars. These experiences carry additional charges and should be discussed with us in advance.
Between outings, take time to enjoy your tent and private deck. Your butler can prepare your hot tub, arrange a meal in your tent or help organise an aromatherapy massage, subject to availability. You’re welcome to keep your days active or leave more time to relax and enjoy the Serengeti from camp.

Namiri Plains is now a remote and much-loved camp that offers an excellent base for a safari. The camp’s design is beautiful, with graceful tented roofs, luxurious outdoor tubs, and a deep-blue pool overlooking the endless Serengeti landscape.
Located by the Ngare Nanyuki River, the camp offers plenty of ways to relax. You can spend a sultry afternoon by the pool, indulge at the spa, or find a good book in the library, which is filled with fascinating materials about big cats and conservation.
We highly recommend enjoying a cocktail on your private deck and watching the incredible cloud formations that only the Serengeti sky can produce. Completely refurbished in 2019, Namiri Plains runs entirely on solar power, although after each breathtaking sunset, you’ll find that the stars alone are enough to light up your night.
