The Manor is a beautiful collection of cottage suites designed in a classic, elegant style. It perfectly blends old-world charm with warm African hospitality. Most importantly, it is a place of total peace. Located on a massive 1,500-acre coffee farm, the setting is quiet and wonderfully green. It is the perfect home base for exploring the famous Lake Manyara and the incredible Ngorongoro Crater.
Each luxury cottage is carefully placed to give you total privacy and the best views of the emerald-green hills. From your room, you can relax and enjoy the quiet beauty and natural rhythms of Africa. It is a place where you can truly disconnect and feel the magic of the landscape around you.
At Bush 2 City Adventure, we only choose lodges that have a special spirit and a unique personality. The Manor is one of our favorites because of its amazing location and its special “charisma.” As one of our guests once said, “I stayed in many spectacular lodges, but when I look back, the first place I remember is always The Manor.”

The Manor at Ngorongoro invites you to experience a world of classic beauty and high-end luxury. While it feels like a grand home from the past, it offers all the modern comforts of today’s “golden age” of safari. It is a place where history and luxury come together perfectly.
Each luxury suite is designed for your comfort and privacy. You will have your own private entrance, a sunny terrace, and a large, cozy fireplace. The bathrooms are beautiful and modern, featuring “claw-footed” bathtubs and refreshing rain showers. For families or groups, our two-story Stable Cottage feels like a grand country home, offering plenty of space and a very high-class atmosphere.
Dining at The Manor is always a warm and generous experience. You can choose to eat by the pool, in the privacy of your suite, or even in our beautiful Wine Cellar. We also arrange wonderful picnics during your coffee estate tours or game drives.
After dinner, the Main House Lounge is the perfect place to relax. With its soft leather chairs and crackling fire, it feels like the kind of place where famous explorers would sit to tell stories of their adventures. It is the perfect setting to end a beautiful day in Africa.
While there is much to do at The Manor, our guided game drives create the most lasting memories. We will take you to the beautiful Lake Manyara, a place famous for thousands of pink flamingos that fill the sky. It is also one of the few places in the world where you can see lions relaxing high up in the branches of trees.
From the lake, we travel up to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. When you look down, you will see a sight found nowhere else on earth. This “Lost World” is a huge natural sanctuary that remained a secret to most of the world until the late 1800s. Today, it is home to over 25,000 large animals, including lions, giraffes, buffalo, and rare rhinos. It feels like a place where time has stood still.
The crater is famous for its massive, peaceful elephants. There is a famous saying that if humans won the lottery and became rich, they would choose to live exactly like elephants: they would spend their time playing, eating when they are hungry, sleeping when they are tired, and staying close to their families. Watching these giant animals live so peacefully in the wild is a truly moving experience.
The Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club offers a rare, heartwarming feature not found elsewhere: a remarkable Wildlife Rescue Center. Managed in partnership with the William Holden Wildlife Foundation, this facility is dedicated to the compassionate rehabilitation of animals found abandoned or injured in the wild. Many of the resident creatures are remarkably gentle, providing guests with the extraordinary privilege of interacting with them, including direct hand-feeding, petting, and supervised handling. This is an unparalleled opportunity for a close, meaningful encounter with resilient wildlife that has been given a second chance through the Club’s commitment.
The allure of this estate extends far beyond conservation. Established half a century ago by the legendary screen actor William Holden, the Club quickly became an exclusive destination for the world’s elite. Its continued magnetism stems from its perfect setting: a tranquil, temperate haven located at the majestic base of Mount Kenya. For decades, it has served as a glamorous retreat for political icons and cinematic greats, with esteemed members like Sir Winston Churchill, Clark Gable, and John Wayne seeking respite in its luxurious embrace. The Club’s history is interwoven with fame, offering a truly distinguished escape defined by natural beauty and a powerful, enduring legacy.
Sanctuary Ngorongoro Crater Camp offers an exceptional experience because it is located right inside the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This prime location makes it the perfect starting point for exploring the incredible wildlife that thrives on the crater floor.
The Ngorongoro Crater is truly remarkable, home to a vast population of around 25,000 animals. You can expect to see a wide variety of wildlife, including zebras, elephants, buffalo, warthogs, hippos, and wildebeest roaming freely within this natural enclosure. Importantly, the crater is also a haven for exciting Big Cat predators like lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, and jackals, offering fantastic opportunities for wildlife viewing.
A canvas sanctuary poised at the intersection of golden plains and the storied Mara River, Nyasi offers an unrivaled vantage point for nature’s most cinematic event: the Great Migration’s river crossings. Here, the air vibrates with the rhythmic thundering of the herds, and extraordinary encounters unfold with effortless frequency.
Situated within the prestigious Lamai Wedge, the camp’s deliberate remoteness offers an atmosphere of profound seclusion—a rare and coveted luxury that grants you private access to the otherwise bustling northern Serengeti. In this pristine corner of the wild, the spectacle is yours alone to witness.
