My wife and I chose to visit Tanzania and Zanzibar for our honeymoon, starting with a Safari trip in Tanzania. We did a lot of research, and after weeks of searching, we decided to go with Bush2City. The whole process of booking was brilliantly handled by Martha, with great communication and always able to answer our queries.
The trip itself was amazing, our guide was Hussein who was a great host – as well as an avid photographer (who we are glad to see is up and running again with his photography after not having a camera for a while). Hussein helped ensure we got to see all of the Big Five, including the elusive Leopard that we have never managed to see before. The accommodation was amazingly luxurious and food was incredible! We would definitely be using them again when we return for another visit!

We had a safari of about 7 days tailored to our requests: Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorogo and Zanzibar. Working with Maliwaza to create our dream itinerary was a breeze. She was extremely responsive to my many questions and nothing was too much trouble. She was flexible and positive. Maliwaza ensured we had the best lodges and tent camps. She worked really hard to find us top notch accommodation despite that we booked with only a few month’s notice. All our accommodation was tip top/could not be better in terms of quality, location, food, safety, comfort and lovely staff. She obviously worked very hard liaising with all hotel staff as they were all well aware of my child’s food allergy. This was logistically a very complex trip. Yet it went seamlessly without a single glitch. We noticed other not so lucky (not Bush2City) travellers being let down at park entrances where their tour company had not done the necessaries and they were delayed at park gates and very annoyed. Never did we experience anything like this. Everything was taken care of thought through for us. We loved our safaris. Our driver in Kenya, Philip, was excellent. He knew everything about all the animals and taught us endless information. He was very experienced and knew how to spot all the animals. In Tanazania, Aziz was equally experienced. We felt safe and in good hands. Aziz knew where to find the best spots on all our safaris. He was fun to talk to and it was very interesting to learn about Tanzania from him. He also knew everything about the area and the animals. We could not have been happier with both our drivers. However, more than anything Maliwaza did endless behind-the-scenes organising to make everything run so smoothly. We appreciated how adaptable Bush2City was. They allowed us to pay by Amex when we were having difficulty transferring money. This gave us peace of mind. This was an unforgettable family trip of a lifetime and we thank Bush2City for making it happen. We would 500% recommend them again. We were lucky to find them thanks to friends who had just as wonderful an experience with them the year before. How lucky were we to have this recommendation! Not only did Maliwaza ensure our trip with Bush2City was perfect, but she was instrumental in helping me plan our last day in Nairobi, even though our trip with Bush2City had ended by then! We were so grateful! Wish we could go again next year! If you are considering Bush2City, you are in for a treat.

tip: it was nice but the other 3 parks we visited [Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro] were much better) and adding 4 days in Zanzibar at the end; During the trip: stellar customer service. Our guide, Aziz, was absolutely fantastic. He had over 20 years of experience and it showed (tip: ask for an experienced guide!). Not only was he an excellent driver (which is important, considering the roads and lack of signage), but he also excelled in finding game in less busy areas. He could spot a cheetah from hundreds of feet away, tracked prints in the dirt, and after comparing notes with some of the other lodge guests at the end of the evening it was fair to say that we consistently saw more. And lastly, he looked out for us in all ways. He advised on how to tip at the hotels, helped haggle with vendors, made sure every hotel knew our food restrictions, and made us feel very safe considering we were a same-sex female couple with kids traveling in a country where homosexuality is illegal.
We also had excellent customer service from Maliwaza on the admin staff. We had an issue with our outbound flight (tip: some countries require transit visas even if you don’t leave the airport, so do your research!) and were going to miss our connecting flight from Nairobi to Arusha. I texted Mali and asked her to see what could be done. By the time we landed, knowing how expensive it would be to book new connecting flights for all 5 of us, she had arranged for car transport for us from Nairobi to Arusha, not only at a fraction of the cost, but which also allowed us to not miss any of our safari time.
I could go on and on but will end by saying that a) this was the trip of a lifetime and something we will remember forever, and b) we were in excellent hands through the entire process. Highly, highly recommend B2C.
