With your guide, you'll get to see what daily life is like in this village, where most people work on coffee farms. You'll learn all about how coffee is grown, from the bean to the cup, and even get to taste a cup of traditional coffee. Then, you'll relax at the beautiful Materuni Waterfalls. After enjoying breakfast, we'll begin our journey to our first safari destination, the diverse Tarangire National Park. Our morning drive, covering approximately 120 kilometers, takes us westward from Arusha, offering scenic views that showcase the vibrant colors and rich character of Tanzania. Along the way, you may catch glimpses of Maasai herdsmen guiding their goats to fresh pastures, providing a glimpse into local life. During this journey, you'll have the opportunity to bond with your driver-guide, who will impress you with their extensive knowledge as they effortlessly address any questions you may have.

Tarangire National Park is renowned for its large herds of elephants and the abundance of majestic baobab trees. These iconic trees, which can live for centuries, serve as a vital water source for elephants during the dry season, thanks to their unique ability to store water. Additionally, the Tarangire River remains the sole water source during this period, attracting large gatherings of wildlife, including groups of up to 250 elephants. As the afternoon draws to a close, we'll return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Lake Manyara boasts a diverse range of terrains, ensuring there's always something new to discover. Each game drive promises surprises, particularly for bird enthusiasts, as the park is home to over 400 bird species, including colorful bee-eaters, majestic hornbills, and a myriad of other avian species. If you're visiting between February and June, keep an eye out for the striking yellow-billed stork and the elegant pink-backed pelicans, adding to the avian highlights of the area. Day 5: Lake Eyasi Tour

After breakfast, we'll embark on our morning excursions to meet the Hadzabe hunter-gatherers and visit a local blacksmith, bringing along packed lunches for the journey. Each person will find their own favorite cultural experience today, but meeting the Hadzabe hunter-gatherers might leave the most lasting impression. Their way of life will make you reflect on the simplicity, though not necessarily the ease, of life.

Situated in the Great Rift Valley, southwest of the Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Eyasi experiences significant fluctuations in its salt-water levels with the changing seasons. During dry years, the lake can nearly vanish. Near this shimmering lake, our first stop involves joining the Hadzabe on a hunting expedition, offering insight into the unique lifestyle of Tanzania's last hunter-gatherers. We'll then visit a local blacksmith as he demonstrates his craft, skillfully fashioning pots and weapons from scrap metal.

Our journey continues to Karatu Town, where we'll enjoy dinner and spend the night.
