Day 1: Arrived at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport

As you step out of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, a bright smile greets you from your personal Bush 2 City adventure guide. "Karibu Kenya – welcome to Kenya!"

Your guide escorts you directly from the airport to your hotel, offering a lively introduction to the bustling city of Nairobi. As you journey, observe the towering skyscrapers, the whirl of motor taxis and colorful matatus (local public transport), and the dynamic flow of everyday life.

Feel free to ask your guide anything that piques your interest about Kenyan life and culture. Not only is he knowledgeable about the local ways, but he's also eager to share insights about the stunning national parks you're set to explore. Whatever your questions, your guide is here to provide thorough answers and ensure your adventure starts off right!

Day 2: Afternoon Safari in Amboseli National Park

Amboseli National Park, located on the border between Kenya and Tanzania, is just a four-hour drive from Nairobi. You'll arrive in time for lunch followed by a scenic afternoon game drive at sunset.

Spanning nearly 400 square kilometers, Amboseli offers breathtaking views of the snowcapped Mount Kilimanjaro. The park is renowned for its diverse wildlife, particularly the large herds of free-roaming elephants, providing an excellent opportunity for you to capture iconic photos of these majestic creatures against the backdrop of Africa’s highest standalone mountain.

Until 2020, the park was also the sanctuary for a remarkable bull elephant named Tim. Known for his massive size and ground-reaching tusks, Tim became a symbol of Amboseli and attracted many visitors. He was about 50 years old when he passed away in February 2020.

Day 3
Amboseli National Park
Day 3: Full days Safari in Amboseli

We recommend waking up early today to experience a sunrise game drive — the best time to see animals in their most active state.

Dedicate the entire day to game drives, giving you ample opportunity to fully explore Amboseli National Park. Spanning 392 square kilometers, the park features acacia woodlands, rocky thorny bushes, marshland swamps, and a Pleistocene lake. Here, you'll encounter a rich array of wildlife including giraffes, zebras, buffalos, and, of course, elephants. You might also spot big cats like lions, cheetahs, and leopards.

The local Maasai people, who live nearby, originally named the park. "Kioko Lake," often drying up during the dry season, leaves behind ashy soil known as "amboseli" to the Maasai, giving the park its name. During your visit, you have the opportunity to immerse yourself in Maasai culture by visiting one of their villages.

Day 4: Ready For Your Flight Back Home

Savor the beauty of Amboseli one last time, as today marks the final day of your safari. If you're eager for more adventures, you can extend your journey to include additional national parks. Alternatively, you could drive back to Nairobi to catch your flight home.

However, we recommend taking an exciting train ride to Mombasa, either to catch your flight from there or to continue your holiday on the beach.

Kenya boasts some incredible tropical beaches that are perfect for unwinding after your safari. At Bush 2 City Adventure, we're particularly fond of the stunning southern beaches. Diani Beach, located 20 kilometers south of Mombasa, offers beautiful sandy shores and crystal-clear waters, while the lively Bamburi Beach to the north features vibrant beach scenes with endless pools and colorful cocktails. Plus, the historic city of Mombasa is just a short distance away, adding a cultural touch to your beach relaxation.
