Then fly, and head to Kigali airport in Rwanda, home to Volcanoes National Park and the forested habitat of endangered mountain gorillas and golden monkeys. Volcano National Park
Day 12: Gorilla Trek at Volcanoes National Park

et up early for a really special day. Drive to the Volcanoes National Park office where your guides will tell you all about the gorilla trek. Watch a fun dance show and have a quick breakfast from a box. Then, hop in a safari vehicle to go to where your gorilla trek starts. A porter will help carry your stuff and take you to see a family of gorillas. When you find them, you get to watch them for an hour. It's amazing! After that, go back to the lodge for lunch and chill for the afternoon. A local expert will talk about the gorillas you just saw. End the day with a goodbye party and dinner at the lodge.

Journey Home
Day 13: Flight Home from Kigali International Airport (KGL)

Time to say goodbye! Today, your tour ends, and you fly back home. After breakfast, we depart from the hotel. We will journey to Kigali, stopping en route to visit the Genocide Memorial Museum, where we will pay tribute to the 800,000 Rwandans who lost their lives during the atrocities of 1994. We discover how Rwanda could come together, heal, and move forward into the future with hope and resilience.

Finally, we arrive at the Kigali Serena Hotel, where we have reserved day rooms for you until your flight home in the evening. Airport transfers are included to Kigali International Airport. Please allow a minimum of three hours for flight check-in at the airport.
