Welcome to your special Kenya & Tanzania safari! As soon as you land at the airport, our friendly driver will meet you and take you to your hotel in Nairobi. This is the start of a safari that’s made just for you, where you get to do what you like and see what you want.
Once you're settled in Nairobi, have a chat with your guide about what you’re looking forward to on your safari. You can talk about the animals you want to see when you want to start and finish your safari each day and anything else you’re interested in. This is your own private trip, so it’s all about what you want.
Use your first day to rest up from your trip and get used to the exciting and different atmosphere of Africa. Enjoy the new sights and sounds around you, and get ready for the adventure ahead.

Your journey begins today as we collect you at 8 am from your hotel in Nairobi. We'll drive north and west, showcasing the stunning landscapes of Kenya's Great Rift Valley as we head towards Lake Naivasha, a jewel in the valley's heart. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on a 2-hour boat ride across the expansive lake and enjoy a nature walk.
Lake Naivasha National Park, though compact, is a beautiful area teeming with wildlife. Upon arrival at the resort, we'll ensure a smooth check-in and serve you a tasty hot lunch. In the afternoon, set off for a boat ride to Crescent Island, where you'll have the opportunity to see hippos and a variety of birds. Afterward, take a short walk in nature around Lake Naivasha, an experience that brings you close to the tranquility of the area.
As the day winds down, return to your Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort around sunset. Here, you can relax and enjoy a delicious meal outdoors, surrounded by the gentle sounds of the wilderness. This is the perfect way to end your first day immersed in the beauty of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley.
Today, we're going deeper into the Masai Mara, right into the Mara Triangle. We'll leave the park's edge and head south to the heart of this amazing park, getting there in time for a tasty hot lunch.
The Masai Mara is a special place where you can find lots of animals like wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles, especially during the Great Wildebeest Migration. This is when over a million animals move across the Masai Mara's plains, and it's really exciting to watch if you’re there at the right time.
There's so much to see and learn about here. Feel free to ask your driver guide any questions about the animals and their home in the Mara. In the evening, when you're back at your lodge, you'll still feel connected to the wild with all the sounds and smells of Africa around you. This is all part of your adventure in the wild.
