Starts your safari adventure with a morning pickup from Nairobi City, driving to the renowned Lake Nakuru National Park in the Great Rift Valley, near the equator and south of Bogoria. Known for its vast flamingo population, this park is a global natural wonder. You'll arrive in time for a delightful lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive, offering a chance to admire the park's stunning landscapes and diverse wildlife. Besides being a haven for over 100 rhinos, including both black and white species, Lake Nakuru's most striking feature is its almost two million flamingos, creating a mesmerizing pink line along the lake's shore.
Start your morning with an exciting game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, a prime opportunity to see wildlife in the early hours. After the drive, enjoy a fulfilling breakfast back at your camp. Then, set off for the Masai Mara National Reserve, another of Kenya's stunning wildlife havens. If your visit is timed right, you could witness the phenomenal Wildebeest Migration, where over a million wildebeests, accompanied by zebras and gazelles, traverse the Mara plains in a magnificent display. This migration is a major draw for visitors to the Masai Mara and offers a once-in-a-lifetime spectacle of nature's grandeur.
Head out early for a safari in Masai Mara, where you can see animals like lions, elephants, and giraffes in the cool morning. After seeing these animals, go back to your lodge for lunch and a break. In the afternoon, you might spot big groups of wildebeest and zebras, especially during migration season. The Masai Mara is open and great for photos, ending with a beautiful sunset. For a different view, try a balloon safari to see the animals and landscape from above in a hot air balloon, a peaceful and unique way to see the Mara.
Set off on an early morning safari in the Masai Mara, the perfect time to see wildlife like the Big Five—lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos—along with cheetahs, giraffes, and various birds, as they're most active. Your expert guide will navigate through the reserve in a safari vehicle for the best sightings. Take a mid-morning break to enjoy a snack amidst the Mara's beauty, a peaceful moment to soak in the wilderness. The afternoon brings more explorations across the vast plains, ideal for observing animal interactions and, during migration season, the spectacular river crossings of wildebeest and zebras. Conclude your day with a leisurely drive back to your lodge, capturing the breathtaking African sunset, making this full-day game drive a comprehensive experience of the Masai Mara's vibrant wildlife and stunning landscapes.
Today, we're heading from the edge to the central Serengeti in Tanzania. We'll take a cool short flight, giving you a chance to spot wildlife from above and see the vast plains. Once we land, you'll meet your new guide from Bush 2 City Adventure, your friends in Tanzania. They're really knowledgeable about the Serengeti and Tanzanian culture, so feel free to ask them anything. The Serengeti is home to loads of animals like zebras, wildebeests, and big cats. Our drive to the central part is about 7 hours, covering roughly 280 km, so you'll see lots of the park and its animals along the way.
