While most of the country experiences its rainy season in summer, the southwestern region enjoys a Mediterranean climate, featuring hot, dry summers and rainy winters. Summer temperatures range from a minimum of 15°C (59°F) to a maximum of 28°C (82°F), while winter daytime averages hover between 19°C and 23°C (66°F to 73°F).

Opt for casual, comfortable clothing suitable for varying temperatures. Wear muted colors like khaki, green, and beige to blend into the environment. Bring a jacket for early morning and evening game drives, along with comfortable walking shoes, binoculars, sun protection, and a sense of adventure.

Best Time for Safari:

South Africa offers year-round safari opportunities. The wildlife you encounter can vary depending on the time of year and region you visit.

Time Zone:

South Africa is in the Central Africa Time Zone (CAT), which is GMT+2 hours, the same as the rest of Southern Africa.

Visa Requirement:

Currently, South Africa allows visa-free travel for all countries for stays of up to 90 days. Ensure your passport remains valid for at least six months beyond your planned departure date from South Africa.

COVID Travel Protocol:
