After breakfast, we'll set off for a day-long wildlife drive, with a packed lunch included. This park is famous for its iconic black-maned lions and a rich array of local animals. It's also one of the special places where you can spot all of the "Big Five" animals in just one-morning outing. The cheetahs here are so friendly that they often look for shade under vehicles or even climb on them to get a better look at possible prey.

Bird watchers are in for a treat, as the park has recorded close to 500 bird species. This includes 16 types of eagles, various hawks and falcons, six kinds of vultures, eight species of storks, four types of bustards (including the Kori bustard, which is the heaviest bird that can fly), and nine species of sunbirds.

Day 5: Serengeti Serengeti National Park

You will enjoy two full days in the Serengeti, with the freedom to explore extensively thanks to a flexible schedule and no limit on distance traveled. As you ascend a hillside, the immense Serengeti unfolds before you, a seemingly infinite expanse. The name Serengeti itself, derived from the Kiswahili for "endless plains," aptly describes this vast 6,900 square mile (approximately 18,000 square km) park. It teems with over 2 million large mammals, including over a million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and Thomson's gazelles. This bounty of moving prey attracts large predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, making the park a dynamic ecosystem of migration and predation. The Serengeti is also home to a variety of smaller creatures, including rock hyraxes, bat-eared foxes, mongooses, honey badgers, jackals, monkeys, baboons, and African hares, as well as nearly 500 bird species. Your afternoon will feature a scenic game drive as you make your way to the campsite.
